Affiliate Network – Odds Are On Your Side

Saturday, May 15th, 2010

So many people are under the impression that affiliate network marketing is a difficult field to experience success with for a beginner. This notion comes in part because the new marketer may be learning of affiliate marketing for the first time on the day that they join an affiliate network. Nonetheless, newcomers have little to worry about as all you need to do is follow the right steps.

Just realize that I am not saying that being an affiliate is a cake-walk, and you will make a grip of money while you sleep. The fact of the matter is that just like any other business, there is a learning curve. You have to learn what works, and what does not. Doing so will take some self-education.

Joining an affiliate networks has become an option of choice for those who want to make money online for several reason. However, the most compelling reasons stem from the fact that an affiliate can sell a vast array of product, generate a revenue, but still avoid all of the hassles of product management and customer service associated with conventional business ownership. The only obligation of the affiliate is to introduce niche products to niche markets. This is not the most complex thing in the world.

You can look at affiliate marketing as you would a partnership. The parties to the partnership are the company who owns the product, and the affiliate who markets the product. Both benefit from the relationship. The product owner benefits because they only pay a commission when the affiliate produces a sale. The affiliate benefits because they earn revenue from a product which they do not have ownership of, and are not responsible for.

Unfortunately, some affiliates still have a tendency to make some common mistakes. These are the affiliates who clutter their website or blog with a vast array of banners, hoping that maybe someone will click on one and buy something. What usually happens is that the visitor does not know where to look, and in all of the confusion, just leaves the website.

Conversely, an approach which works really well is to write a product review. In your product review, take three products which target the same market, and tell the reader what you like and dislike about each product. You can even rank the products from favorite, to least favorite. In fact, it is not uncommon to say nothing negative about the product which you rank first. Just make sure that it merits that number one position by performing.

There you have it. It is very possible for someone to join an affiliate network today, and have great success in the near future. You just have to work hard and learn what works, and what to avoid.

Don’t worry if you are new to your Affiliate Network. Success with Affiliate Programs has nothing to do with luck, and everything to do with you. Come and see us at SOSComplete.com

Affiliate Programs – Multiply Profit By Press Release

Saturday, April 24th, 2010

One of the most highly recommended ways of increasing your sales in any affiliate program or affiliate network, is to do something different, and tell everyone that you did it. Think outside of the box, and do what others are not doing.

There is a common misconception among affiliates that they are stuck with the marketing materials the product owners provide, and unable to do anything of their own. By and large, this is not true. If you are not sure, just ask. Most affiliate managers will okay outside materials if they can see them first.

Your first step is to create a free report. This sounds like a monumental task, but once completed, it can be used again and again. The easiest way to write a report is to compile a list of five to seven tips, and write a few sentences on each one. If I were an affiliate for a book on resumes, I might write “5 Tips For a Better Resume.” Then I would leverage the report to lead the reader to my website which just so happens to be selling the resume book.

The next step is to set up a way to capture email addresses. This can be done either by offering the report as an auto-responder series, or by requiring the reader to sign up to your newsletter in order to download the report. Tips reports work very well as auto-responder series. Furthermore, you can follow up periodically without offending the customer.

Last, you will need to tell people about your report with a press release. Press releases are nice because they are straight to the point, and full of information. With press releases, you just need to cover the fundamentals of, “Who, what, where, when, why, and how.” Your press release should cover the following:

1) The person “who” benefits (ie. the buyer).

2) What the information is (ie. the free report).

3) When the information is available (ie. now).

4. Where the reader of the press release can find the information.

5. “Why” the report was written.

6. “How” the report will be beneficial to the reader.

Of course, I am well aware that time is a very scarce resource, and unfortunately, writing takes time. However, I can almost guarantee that if you sit down and write a quick report and publicize it with a release distributed by the top free distribution services, you will make more affiliate sales in any affiliate network or affiliate program. This more than make up for the time you invest.

Affiliate Programs Provide A Win-Win

Sunday, April 18th, 2010

The Internet has provided us with access to things that we did not have twenty or thirty years ago. However, one of the biggest benefits which the Internet has provided is the ability of the everyday entrepreneur to create his or her own niche in the shadow of big industry, and gain just a sliver of their market share. The only problem is that more and more people are looking to the Internet each day to make money, while the market share remains stagnant. However, all hope is not lost. There is another option, and it goes by the name of affiliate marketing.

Affiliate marketing continues to grow because of its ease of application. A more specific aspect of affiliate marketing are affiliate programs. There are two key parties to affiliate programs. They are the advertiser, who owns a product or service which they need to market to the public, and the affiliate, who does not own a product or a service, but want to make money. With an affiliate program, both parties are offered a solution. In essence, the affiliate markets the advertiser’s product or service in exchange for a predetermined percentage of the revenue generated by each successful conversion. Both parties benefit from this arrangement as the affiliate is able to make money without owning a product or service, and the advertiser is able to sell his or her products or services without having to pay the affiliate unless they generate revenue.

Essentially, affiliate programs recognize two needs. There is the need of the owner of a product or service without much money to advertise. Affiliate programs give this owner a means to advertise without any up-front costs. By allowing thousands of affiliates to promote his or her products or services, the advertiser is able to put themselves in a position where thousands of potential buyers will learn about what they have to offer.

Contrarily, we have a group of venturers who have the issue of making money without ownership of a product or service. This is where affiliate programs come to the rescue. Affiliate programs provide the venturer with an abundance of products to promote, with the ability to earn a healthy commission on each sale. It is not uncommon to see affiliate earn anywhere from 50-80% of the revenue generated by each sale. Such commissions are generally offered only by digital product affiliate programs.

With the two industries (digital products and affiliate marketing) working in perfect harmony, each helping the other in order to generate extra customers and revenue, the digital product affiliate program has become an industry to be reckoned with. Unlike most of the other online industries, there are no specific personal requirements to become an affiliate. All that is really required is the will to make money as you do not even need your own website. There are no tricks and no strings attached, which is why so many industries and individuals alike have flocked to sign up to the amazing opportunities created by affiliate marketing.

Special skills and experience are not needed with affiliate programs, and an affiliate network, such as SOSComplete! has hundreds of affiliate programs for you to choose from. Just click one of the links and come see us.

Affiliate Programs – Increase Commissions in Ten Steps

Tuesday, April 6th, 2010

1. Participate in chat rooms related to the product you’re reselling. Start a conversation with a person without trying to sell to them. Later on, while you are chatting, mention the product you’re reselling.

2. Author a free eBook which just so happens to contain an advertisement and link to your website. Make sure that the content of the eBook is such that it compels those who are in your niche market to download it. Do not forget to submit your eBook to the eBook directories.

3. Create a directory of your own for affiliate programs. Thereafter, you can become an affiliate with a large number of affiliate programs, and then list them in your own directory. Once you have done this, you can promote your free affiliate marketing directory on the Web.

4. Write your own affiliate program ads. If all the other affiliates use the same ads you do, that does not give you an edge over your competition. Use a different ad to give yourself an advantage over all the other affiliates.

5. Everyone likes to see a testimonial. So long as you have actually utilized what it is that you are promoting, you can tell people all of the positive results which you have experienced.

6. Advertise the product you’re reselling in your signature file. Use an attention getting headline and a good reason for them to visit your affiliate site. Make sure your sig file doesn’t go over 5 lines.

7. Engage in a joint venture. The key here is to partner with other sellers in your niche, whose products do not compete with, but rather complement yours.

8. Join forums, discussion boards, membership website, social network groups, and anything else which you can think of which will allow you to gain access to your niche market. Become active in these groups, and offer your insight. Whenever you post a comment, answer or question, make sure that you add your website link at the end in your signature.

9. Create an ezine, but do not sell it. Rather, give you ezine away in exchange for your website visitors joining your email list. Furthermore, you can include links to your offers in the ezine.

10. Social media and social networking seem to be the buzz nowadays, so why not take advantage of it? There exists software which makes it easy for anyone to create their own social network from less than $150. You have two options with this. You can either offer a free membership to your exclusive network for those who purchase one of your affiliate programs. Just realize that if you do this, you need to offer something of value within. Otherwise, you can allow people to join for free, and market your offers to the members. Once again, you will need to provide something of value as members will not stay enrolled just so that they can be marketed to.

Affiliate Network – Mistakes That Affiliates Make

Saturday, March 27th, 2010

You have just signed up at an affiliate network, and you are excited. They have great products, free referral websites, pre-made ads for you to copy, and the best compensation plan on the internet. This is the best affiliate network on the internet! Put a few ads out there and you’re on your way to becoming the next internet millionaire. Right?

Well, before handing over your down payment for that S Class Mercedes Benz which you have been dreaming about, you need to educate yourself on a few common mistakes of new affiliates. Make sure that you do not make the same mistakes.

1. Believing the hype.

The earning potential which is promoted by nearly every program is just that, potential. Yes, it is possible for you to earn the sums of money which you have read about. However, do not expect to see this kind of revenue in the very beginning. You are investing in your future, and there is no future in a get rich quick scheme. Have faith in yourself, and the fact that you have what it takes to become an highly successful affiliate. Nonetheless, do not fall for the claims which tell you that you will be able to quit your day job next week.

2. Anticipating immediate success with a minimal effort.

Expect to work your business, and expect to work it daily. If you opened your own neighborhood store, you’d expect to have to go in to work daily, wouldn’t you? You would expect to have to advertise and get people to come to your store. Well, you just opened your own brand new internet store, what are you going to do to make it work? How are you going to get people to come look at your product?

3. Lack of a plan and specific goals.

You have probably heard the saying, plan your work and work your plan. You need to have a specific plan and clear, measurable goals. Many people join affiliate programs with the vague goal of wanting to make a lot of money. How much money? How quickly do you want it? (Try to be realistic here, making a million dollars in one month is not realistic.) Okay, you have your clear, specific goal. Now how are you going to get there. Again, think clear, specific steps here.

4. Using the same sales page that every other affiliate is using as your primary advertisement.

When you join an affiliate network, you have a choice of hundreds of affiliate programs to promote. When you choose an affiliate program, a link is generated which is unique to your account, and tracks the sales which are made at the main sales page via your link. Every sale of this product will be made at this same web page. Thus, you need to be different from the other affiliates out there. You need to create your own website or blog. Do not worry, you can do this easily with either Joomla! or WordPress. On your website or blog is where you will advertise your affiliate link. This will give you the ability to provide your visitors with information about the subject matter to which the product pertains, and allows you to show the reader what is in it for them in the purchase the product which your promoting.

5. Quitting

Perhaps a few months have gone by and you are not making the type of money that you had hoped for. Maybe this has lead you to question whether you will ever make any money with an affiliate network. If this sounds like you, rather than give up, you need to figure out what to do to improve on your efforts. It is never time to give up. Thomas Edison did not invent the incandescent light bulb by giving up. Rather, it took him over 10,000 tries, and he did it. The point is that great success is not achieved by those who give up. Believe in what you are doing, and learn how to do it better.

Come and visitour Affiliate Network at www.soscomplete.com. You can find hundreds of Affiliate Programs to promote.
