Affiliate Network – Make More Sales By Pre-Selling

Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010

You have a venue known as the Internet. Within this venue reside a large amount of websites, some of which belong to an affiliate network. Thereafter, you have websites which were created by affiliates in order to direct traffic to the websites of advertisers whose affiliate programs they belong to. That is affiliate marketing in a nutshell. Both affiliate and advertiser join an affiliate network. Then the affiliate finds advertiser offers to promote, and earns a commission upon each conversion. Unfortunately, many affiliates do not go about achieving conversions in the most efficient manner. This is why the article which you are about to read is going to tell you how to pre-sell your customers.

What I want you to understand and take with you first and foremost, is that it is not the job of the affiliate to try and directly convert a sale with the content of their website. In fact, I strongly advise against doing so. The reason being that consumers are astute. As such, they can recognize a sales pitch a mile away. As soon as they hear a sales pitch coming their way, they keep reminding themselves not to be taken in by all of the bells and whistles. In other words, they become defensive. Thus, any affiliate who makes sales the primary focus of their website will have difficulties getting their visitors to click through to the advertiser\’s website.

Therefore, you need to ask yourself what a visitor is most likely looking for when they arrive at your website. You can determine the answer by looking at the nature of the Internet. The Internet is essentially a massive, living encyclopedia. Thus, when someone goes onto the Internet, they are most likely looking for information which will aid them with a want or need.

People do not go online to be confronted by a sales pitch. This is why to be successful, your affiliate site must create a sense of credibility by offering a myriad of interesting and informative content filled items such as articles, headlines, news, blogs, forums, free newsletters and email courses, and links to more content that might be of interest. These things will keep your visitors interested and they will then click through with pleasure to the advertiser\’s website in a mood ready-to-buy.

This is the beauty of the pre-sell. It is this pre-selling which puts your visitor in a positive frame of mind, leading to a sale. If you turn your visitor off in the beginning with an obvious sales pitch, it is almost impossible to overcome that, and you have lost a potential customer.

In order to pre-sell your visitors adequately, you must keep two things in mind:

1. Your website must cover the subject matter of the advertiser products or services which you promote.

If you are an active affiliate with a multitude of health product advertisers, then your website needs to be focused on health and fitness, proper diet, exercise, healthy habits, and anything associated with cardiovascular, body mass index, weight training, marathons, etc. Really, you have free reign. Just make sure that your website is interesting to your niche.

2. Objectively play the role of the visitor.

This is not the easiest thing in the world to do. People put a lot of work into their websites, and have an emotional attachment. As such, it is often difficult to be critical and see things as visitors may see them. If possible, now is a good time to get a fresh set of eyes to look at your website. If at all possible, so not let the individual know that this is your site so that they will not be partial. You have to know whether the navigation is easy to follow. You also must determine if the website adequately conveys to proper theme, and if it gives the visitor the information that they have been seeking. If you can truly say to yourself that the website accomplishes its intended purpose, then it is a pre-seller. Note that you will have gained your visitor\’s trust by becoming a valuable source of information, and they are likely to take you up on your product or service recommendation.

If you are having difficulty grasping why pre-selling works so well, realize that the magic is in the two step process. First, you give the visitor the information that they have been looking for. Receiving this information from you will make the user comfortable with you. Now that you are a trusted resource, they will move to step two by visiting the advertiser\’s website. At this point they have the information that they need to make a decision to purchase, thus they are not put off by the advertiser\’s sales pitch.

Let the advertiser\’s website do the selling. That is their role in the affiliate network. Your role is to educate and help your visitors by providing answers to their questions or solutions for their problems through quality content.

Joining an Affiliate Network is a great start. However, you must pre-sell your Affiliate Programs to generate interest from buyers. Stop by and see us at SOSComplete.com.

Starting Your Own Affiliate Program

Monday, March 1st, 2010

Is your website attracting some traffic? If it does, you can an extra money by simply posting a merchant\’s link on your page. If your visitor clicks on the link and buys a product from the merchant, you may earn 5% to 40% commission of the total amount of purchase. The percentage depends on the merchant\’s preference. There is another system which is called pay per click or lead. The merchant can pay you for every visitor that you direct to their shop or site.

To get you started with this program, here\’s a little introduction or glossary of terms. People who have the merchant\’s links posted on their website are the affiliates. The links that monitors the sales and traffic provided by the affiliate is called an affiliate link. The whole infrastructure that covers the system is called the affiliate program.

To register into an affiliate program is usually free, and through the program you get freely all you need to make the linking code, to monitor the traffic through your links, and to see what commission you have earned.
An affiliate program is not a MLM program, since the affiliates only earn from sales, leads or clicks.

This program has few alterations that you might encounter. You may recruit a number of affiliates and get a commission from the sales they made. Another rendition includes a third-party network. In this program, the merchant and the affiliate gets to register in one website and make use of a common software that could monitor all the transactions. It can generate reports for both parties, making the work easier.

These are called affiliate networks. Both the merchants and potetial affilliates register into the network, and the affiliates can find links to the online shops of hundreds of merchants to use at their web-site. Examples of affiliate networks are Commission Junction and Clixgalore.

By being an affiliate myself, and a merchant too, I can say that one of the best product to participate in is something that is related to alternative health, or erotic enhancements. The cosmetics, skincare, and hobbies are popular with people too. Of course, the result will depend on the kind of traffic your website drives and their interests.

You can yield the profit for your 401k by generating traffic to your website through the help of Instant Lead Magnet. Avail of free business coaching by Dylan Nelson at fastvideoreviews.com.

Solution Found For Home Business Success!

Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010

Direct Marketing Businesses are full of terrific products and services. Yet the success rate of participants in these enterprises is notoriously terrible! Why is this so?

We believe there is a simple explanation why Home Business has acquired such a bad reputation. The reason is simply that \”members\” of Direct Marketing Teams are not willing or do not believe themselves capable of doing what is necessary for success. And just exactly what IS necessary for success in this industry?

The skill set typically understood to lead to success in Home Based Business includes \”pitching and prodding, sifting and sorting!\”

Therefore, prospects believe, with good reason, that their success will depend on their ability to \”pitch and prod,\” and \”sift and sort.\” Is it any wonder so many people decline the offer, despite promises of high weekly paychecks, to \”get involved?\”

Are you still demonstrating to your prospects and team members your very best pitching, prodding, sifting, and sorting? And you wonder why they don\’t want to \”do what you do, and have what you have?\” When you prove to them by example that success depends on these activities… They don\’t want to be like you!

Aye, there\’s the rub. In order for these business models to be successful, there must be duplication of effort. This is often referred to as leveraging. There is no duplication of effort, no leveraging, if your team cannot or will not do what you do.

What activities will you do, as team leader and business builder, that your team can and will do as well? Decades in the industry have taught us that what can and will be replicated is a system that combines an automated lead generation process with a deliberate but limited personal interface. The internet now gives us the perfect chance to put such a system in place.

Now let\’s have a look at the system we have now in place that allows you and all of your team members to achieve success by leveraging your efforts in a way that makes duplication not only possible but probable.

You can make Money From Home #1when you know the Secret of Success!

I can say with much confidence that the internet has remained resilient even in the midst of an economic downturn. There may be a number of lay-offs but the internet is a perfect marketplace to conduct business.

In fact, affiliate marketing has grown exponentially through the years. The best thing about affiliate marketing is that anyone can join in on this money making racket.

Almost anyone can do affiliate marketing. The only thing that you really need to be successful in this business is the knowledge of doing things right.

One handbook that has just been released is Rosalind Gardner\’s Super Affiliate Handbook. What this handbook is basically all about is it\’s a step by step tutorial to help you pick and create different affiliate programs.

You can include Rosalind Gardner\’s Super Affiliate Handbook as one of the good ones in the business. What you basically get from the Super Affiliate Handbook is the step by step tutorial that will help you with the entire process of selecting and creating various affiliate programs.

Beware though that Super Affiliate Handbook isn\’t a get rich quick scheme.

On the first pages of the Super Affiliate Handbook, you will start on the basics of affiliate marketing. It talks about the very tedious step of setting up your affiliate marketing business. It even includes the specifics like finding the hardware and software hat you need to start your online business.

The thing that makes Super Affiliate Handbook different from others is its close attention to detail. The handbook even includes different suggestions to increasing your business\’ profitability.

The very last thing that Super Affiliate Handbook tackles is the issue of web promotion. There are different methods highlighted in the handbook including ones that are for free, paid, online and offline.
